Hello!

Welcome to my e-portfolio! My name is Brooke Santy. I am an associate teacher at Centennial School of Lehigh University where I currently serve elementary students with Emotional Behavior Disorder. Meanwhile, I am pursuing my Masters of Special Education with a certification in SPED PreK through 12th grade with plans to graduate in May of 2022. I am also the Saucon Valley Middle School girls basketball coach.

 

Centennial School of Lehigh University is an approved private school that serves students from various school districts in the surrounding areas that are categorized with Emotional Behavioral Disorder (EBD). I work with the elementary program in the middle level and early level classrooms. My experience taught me how to establish a positive classroom environment, create goals, collect data, teach engaging lessons, and utilize the latest technology our education has to offer. My courses at Lehigh University are detailed in a further tab with projects and courses I completed.

 

During my experiences at Moravian College (now University), I was a varsity athlete on the Moravian Womens' Basketball team. Through my time on the basketball team, I have been involved and continue to be involved in many community service activities. I was born in Hackettstown, New Jersey and moved to Easton, Pennsylvania right before kindergarten. I've currently lived in Easton, PA for over 15 years. I attended Forks Elementary School, and am an Easton Area High School graduate.

I spend my summers working for a girls basketball camp hosted by Moravian College, teaching in the Extended School Year program through Colonial IU 20, and going to the beach. I love to read, write, and spend time with my family and friends. My passion lies with children. My goal is for all my students to become independent and develop a love for learning.
